I am an energy demand specialist whose research uses social science theories and methods within a multi-disciplinary approach. I try to understand current patterns of use, and to identify opportunities and policies for reducing energy use and carbon emissions.
My research focuses primarily on energy use by households and organisations. Research interests include building retrofit, decarbonisation of heating, policy evaluation, energy efficiency, energy sufficiency, personal carbon allowances, fuel poverty, climate justice and education.
