ACCESS Expert Database

What is the ACCESS expert database?

ACCESS aims to make social science expertise more accessible. We are developing a publicly available, searchable database of social scientists and experts working in the fields of climate and environment. It includes academics in universities as well as those working in the public sector, charities and businesses. Most of the experts have a social science background and use a mix of different methods and approaches to help us better understand people and society’s roles in addressing climate and environmental challenges.

How can I access the database?

You can search the database by name, institution, or subject area. You can either use the suggested search areas or type in your own. Each expert profile will have details on how to contact them. We are very keen to support collaborative work, particularly between universities and policy-making government departments, public organisations, charities, businesses and the media.

How can I join the database?

Please complete this online form.  If you find that some of your areas of work are missing, please let us know and we add them to the database. Once we have received your information we will contact you to ensure you are happy with your profile.

We also suggest that you join the ACCESS network either by by following us on social media and/or subscribing to the ACCESS newsletter.
