What is not covered in the workshop fee?

Travel to and from the workshop, insurance and any accommodation costs are not included in the attendance fee.

What if I can’t secure funding for the workshop?

We expect participants to source funding from their institution or organisation. However, ACCESS may be able to cover the workshop fee for a limited number of attendees. Potential attendees requiring funding will need to indicate this in the relevant section of the registration form. Please note that ACCESS cannot cover travel or accommodation expenses for this workshop.

I would love to attend but attending would incur additional costs outside the workshop fee that I personally couldn’t meet – should I still register?

If your organisation covers the attendance fee but you envisage other costs that would need to be met outside of the parameters of your organisation’s responsibility, please indicate this in the relevant section of the registration form or contact Kirstie Hatcher to discuss k.hatcher@surrey.ac.uk

Why do I need to complete a registration form?

Places are limited, we believe the event works best with a smaller group to offer maximum interaction with the facilitators and networking for the delegates.

Where there are more registrations than places, ACCESS will maintain a ‘waiting list’ for the workshop.

I have a disability. Can you accommodate my attendance?

We actively welcome attendance by people from a diverse range of backgrounds and those who may require additional support to enable participation. At ACCESS, we work to ensure that Equality, Diversity and Inclusion underpin all of our activities (see our Guiding Principles), and we strive to implement EDI best practice wherever we can.

The ACCESS team will aim to accommodate any need required to ensure individual participants can take part in the workshop without concern. If you have any dietary, mobility or accessibility requirements please contact Kirstie Hatcher: k.hatcher@surrey.ac.uk.
