ACCESS Assembly 2024

This year’s Assembly was on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 June 2024 at the University of Exeter. Together in-person and online we explored the ways we can have impactful knowledge exchange across different sectors. We discussed how we might then  influence policy.

Over the two days we delved into inclusivity, accessibility and the more-than-human in climate and environment experiences. One of the highlights of the two days was the Flex Fund showcase where all nine project leads talked about their work from fashion to water scarcityenergy poverty to urban bio-diversity renewal.

Collaboration was certainly one of the key mantras of the conference, articulated brilliantly by the Keynote speakers.

We look forward to next year and to showcasing more cross sector partnerships and networks.

Comments about the Assembly

“I felt this was an welcoming and inclusive environment where stories and experiences were happily shared. It was good to be amongst a diverse audience with different views i.e. not all from academia”

“It was great to have a range of policy and practice organisations represented in the speaker line up and also in the delegate list. Fantastic to see funders there too!”

“The gender and career stage diversity is fantastic. The relative weakness of ethnicity/heritage diversity was pointed out.”
