Five ways to improve net zero action – ACCESS article in The Conversation

The authors discuss some of the highlights from the recently published Net Zero Citizens Survey and earlier Taskforce findings, which suggest that people are open to significant changes in their lifestyle to support net zero, if the conditions are right.

Drawing on a diverse range of case studies of societal change, they propose that five key steps are needed for effective net zero action:

1. Galvanise people
2. Focus on fairness
3. Make the policy process relatable
4. Listen to other people
5. Accept some opposition
