About my experience and expertise

Personal statement:

I have over 20 years experience working in the field of decreasing crime, including wildlife crime and environmental crime. My expertise is in Crime Science methods, using pragmatic and realist approaches to researching the criminal and the unwanted or harmful behaviour of people, designing effective solutions and evaluating impact.

Having worked for a range of organisations including the Home Office, the UN and as a consultant, I have experience of primary and secondary research, academia, programme and project management, line management, evaluation, and policy advice/development.

Key topic areas of research or interest:

Wildlife crime and human behaviour that is not (quite?) criminal but is harmful to wildlife or the environment.

Broadly, behaviour change using evidence-based methodologies.

Realist evaluation.
