Personal statement:
I hold a Ph.D. in Forestry, M.S. in Environmental Social Science, and B.A. in Psychology. My graduate research foci was firmly on green/natural spaces as social determinants of health, and connections with mental health equity. I developed a framework and novel method for use in experimental and quasi-experimental research designs, used Bayesian statistics to predict trends, and learned alongside experts in the nature and health realm as part of various professional organizations. I am the founder and a convener of the International Association of People-Environment Studies (IAPS) Early Career Researchers Network.
