About the organisation(s) I've worked for
Organisation name:
Centre for Sustainable EnergyAbout my experience and expertise
Personal statement:
I lead the Social Research and Evaluation team at the Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE). CSE is a charity working to tackle the climate emergency and end the suffering caused by cold homes, with a 45-year track record of research into energy, climate, social justice, fuel poverty, and fairness in the energy system. My background is in social science, with expertise in energy and climate transitions, public attitudes and perceptions, social justice, and carbon removal. I have 15 years’ research experience, as well as teaching climate and energy policy and social psychology at degree level. I previously worked as an academic researcher at Cardiff University, University of Oxford, and Sussex University.
Collaboration opportunities:
CSE are a UKRI-recognised IRO, meaning we can Co-I on UKRI research grants and are always keen to explore academic collaborations which work to improve fairness in the energy transition. We have a diverse disciplinary team, including social science, modellers, geographers/GIS, technical consultants, and software developers.
