About the organisation(s) I've worked for

Organisation name:

Defra

About my experience and expertise

Personal statement:

I am a social researcher with a research agency background working across public sector policy areas, now working in Government. As a civil servant initially I worked for what was BEIS in an evaluation role across business, research and innovation and energy policy areas.

My current department is Defra, where I work across natural environment policy areas with a focus on 30by30, landscapes, access and people and rural communities. My team are always looking to make connections with academics as expert peer reviewers and to work with us on evidence gaps across climate, biodiversity, rural communities and natural environment policies.

Key topic areas of research or interest:

30by30, landscapes, access, rural communities, biodiversity, climate adaptation and mitigation, land use, trees, peatland, soil, environment strategy and green finance.

Collaboration opportunities:

My team commission research across the natural environment. We are interested making connections with expert peer reviewers for social science and natural science research projects and to collaborate on research projects across 30by30, landscapes, access, rural communities, biodiversity, climate adaptation and mitigation, land use, trees, peatland, soil, environment strategy and green finance policy areas.
