About my experience and expertise

Personal statement:

I am an environmental social scientist specialising in natural capital, participatory methods and the relationship between people and nature. My work at Natural England focuses on the various benefits we gain from nature, and the condition of natural assets to provide those benefits, with a particular focus on health, wellbeing and cultural services.

I have methodological experience in systematic reviews, participatory methods and using natural capital for decision making. I also support natural capital work across Natural England and the Defra group as well as collaborations with industry and academia.

Key topic areas of research or interest:

My research interests span the range of natural capital approaches, with two distinct areas: cultural ecosystem services, relational values of nature and health and wellbeing; and evaluation, participatory methods and collaborative decision making.
