Personal statement:

I am a Lecturer in Environmental Science at Teesside University, UK. My research focuses on pro-environmental behaviour and sustainable food systems, with current projects on pathways to pesticide-free farming, food waste reduction, and plastic/packaging governance. Methodologically, I use mixed methods (PLS-SEM, grounded theory, participatory mapping) to bridge science, policy and community practice. As an ECR, I have secured over £150,000 as the PI across international projects (British Academy, Swiss Government, Teesside University) with collaborations in Nigeria, South Africa, Thailand and Switzerland. Recent publications include articles in Scientific Reports, PLOS ONE, Journal of Environmental Studies and Sciences.

Key topic areas of research or interest:

  • Pro-environmental behaviour
  • Agricultural sustainability & pesticide-free transitions
  • Food waste reduction & circular economy
  • Plastic waste and packaging governance
  • Behavioural interventions for climate and food security
