About my experience and expertise

Personal statement:

Expertise: environmental education, biodiversity learning, environmental social science in the context of nature conservation. I use mixed methods approaches, based on questionnaires, interviews, learner-generated drawings etc. I also have expertise in systematic review methods and intervention-based pre-post test design. I have experience designing and delivering teacher CPD in field and digital contexts, as well as filming and designing online courses on the biodiversity learning theme.

Key topic areas of research or interest:

My research explores three areas: (1) learning and perceptions about biodiversity, particularly plants and invertebrates as ‘less popular’ but accessible groups (2) social inclusion in nature in urban contexts, (3) promoting pro-conservation behaviours and mitigating negative impacts of recreational activities in the natural environment.

Always happy to discuss collaborations
