About my experience and expertise

Personal statement:

I am a Research and Project Co-ordinator with Nifty Sustainability CIC, a Social Enterprise with a core purpose to support people and organisations by helping them embed good practice on eco and social sustainability through research, experiential learning opportunities, and activism.

I lead and support on a wide range of projects both locally and beyond, including exploring the intersection of neurodivergence, climate action, and eco hope through co-production, mapping the Third Sector in Leeds, and working with local schools to identify and implement clean air interventions.

I aim throughout my work to capture lived experience, with a focus on highlighting the voices of those who have experienced inequalities, injustices, and exclusion, particularly at a systemic level. I do this through creative, participatory, accessible, and co-produced research methods and outputs.

Key topic areas of research or interest:

Since joining Nifty in 2020 I have helped IMAS to explore and evidence the positive impacts they have on tackling inequalities through the Mixed Ability model and the experiential learning opportunities they provide for health and care professionals.

I have also supported Mind the Gap, a learning disabled performing arts company, through their recent project ‘Leave the Light on for Me’ which explored themes of climate change and justice, with a focus on promoting eco-hope.
