The Catchment Based Approach (CaBA)<\/a> is a community-led approach that engages people and groups from across society to help improve our precious water environments. CaBA Partnerships are now actively working in 100+ catchments across England and Wales.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CaBA partnerships make use of the best available data and evidence to develop a shared understanding of the problems in their catchments, so that they can effectively target their actions and funds where they will have multiple benefits for people and wildlife. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n

About the dataset<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Discover and explore dozens of datasets and applications that are helping organisations to\u00a0deliver\u00a0integrated catchment management for the benefit of future generations. Via an online interactive map, the CaBA Data Explorer<\/a> provides the latest data in one place online, or use the thematic explorers to understand catchment management issues.<\/p>\n

The CaBA Data Package is a set of GIS layers suitable for supporting integrated catchment management planning. The datasets are displayed, interpreted and grouped to help partnerships identify issues and opportunities for collaborative action.<\/p>\n

Accessing the data<\/strong><\/h4>\n

<\/p>\n

The CaBA Data Explorer can be accessed in full screen here<\/a>. Data is freely available to anyone accessing the explorer.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

There are also a number of datasets available for offline use only (due to licensing restrictions). The list of these is available via the Guidance and Support page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Using the data<\/strong><\/h4>\n

<\/p>\n

Once viewing the interactive map, search for a catchment area place name using the search box.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Different data layers can be added to the map, including catchment boundaries, opportunities, issues, characteristics, causes, actions, monitoring and background data.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

There is a User Guide on the Guidance and Support page<\/a> which helps with interpreting and using the data.<\/p>\n
