The UK Energy Data Centre (EDC) serves as a comprehensive repository for energy-related datasets in the UK, operated by the UK Energy Research Centre (UKERC). The EDC hosts curated datasets, along with extensive metadata linking to other energy-related datasets from various sources. It aims to enhance the discoverability and usability of energy data by adhering to the FAIR principles: Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable.
Accessing the data
You can explore the wide range of energy-related datasets by navigating to the Data tab on the Energy Data Centre webpage. Use the search box to look for specific datasets or filter them by various categories, such as energy category, subject, sector, or region. You can further filter based on time period and data availability (some of the datasets are stored directly by the UKERC, while others are stored externally).
