NatureScot data services is a collection of data and information on many aspects of Scotland’s environment.
Accessing the data

Using the data
The following is available via the NatureScot data services portal:
SiteLink – provides access to information on Protected Areas across Scotland. Includes local, national and international designations.
Open Data Hub (previously Natural Spaces) – open access to NatureScot’s main spatial datasets as data downloads.
Remedies database – a tool used by landowning organisations to manage data relating to features on protected areas. Requires registration to access.
Standing Waters Database – includes aquatic plants and other data for more than 3,000 Scottish lochs.
Scotland’s Environment – Get Interactive – a range of environmental data published by various Scottish organisations and agencies; interactive map tool; and land information search tool.
NBN Atlas – combines information about habitats and species in Scotland from multiple sources in one online tool.
