An open database of UK council climate action plans, scored across nine categories. Created by Climate Emergency UK and mySociety, these scorecards rank councils based on their climate action plans.
Accessing the data
You can explore the scorecards using the dashboard on the Council Climate website. Use the ‘Advanced Filters’ tool to filter the councils based on Nation, Region, Urbanisation, Political Control, Index of Multiple Deprivation, and Total Population. You can click on relevant councils to see how they scored on each question. The full dataset can be downloaded here.

Click on the relevant council to see their climate action plans in more detail, including their Council Climate Actions Scorecard, emissions data, and emissions reduction projects. You can download all of the climate action plans from the ‘Data’ page of the CAPE website.
