ADR UK (Administrative Data Research UK) is a partnership funded by the ESRC that enables researchers to securely access de-identified public sector data to inform policy and improve public services. It works by linking data from various government departments, such as education, healthcare, and criminal justice, to create a comprehensive body of knowledge.

Accessing the data

Accessing data through ADR UK is a highly regulated process to ensure the security and privacy of the individuals whose data is included. Data can only be accessed by accredited researchers for approved research projects that are in the public interest. More information on data access can be found on the ADR UK website, and each dataset will outline the conditions of access.

The data held by ADR UK is organised into various themes – the Climate & sustainability theme may be of particular interest to users of the Data Exchange. Datasets can be found in the ADR UK data catalogue, with search results filtered using the tools on the left hand side of the screen.
