PhD, CEng, FRSA
I am Emerita Professor of Sustainable Consumption and Production at the University of Surrey, having been awarded Emerita status in September 2022 in recognition of the contribution I made to advancing sustainability at the University. My research focuses on investigating avenues to more sustainable lifestyles, taking a holistic, systems-based approach that encompasses supply chain analysis combined with understandings of individual and societal behaviours.
I am Co-Investigator for:
Centre for the Understanding of Sustainable Prosperity
WISE HORIZONS: Wellbeing, Inclusion, Sustainability & the Economy.
Having transferred from a full-time academic role to Emerita status, I am now in the privileged position of being able to devote my time to initiatives that align with my values, hoping to achieve real change. I am interested in anything that supports the drive towards more sustainable lifestyles.
My work takes a systems perspective, and I am particularly interested in topics such as how we use our time, the rebound effect, and how consumption can be made less ecologically destructive.
